Modular AudI/O SoundBlaster 10k1 and 10k2 I/O extension system

The Modular AudI/O system is an enhancement for various Creative SoundBlaster Live! and Audigy / Audigy2 Soundcards, that are based on the E-MU 10k1 or 10k2 chipset and that are equipped with the AUD_EXT or AD_EXT extension header. Both headers are incompatible to each other and so different versions of the system are available. There are two systems for the AUD_EXT header, one for cards that act as I2S clock slave and one for cards that act as I2S clock master. Another system is for the AD_EXT header. These cards are alway I2S clock masters. The differences appear only to the hub card that fits on the soundcard header pins. The external modules for SPDIF, ADC and DAC are equal for all system versions. Please note: all red layouts are top side layouts and the pictures must be mirrored before printing. All blue layouts are bottom layouts and the pictures must be printed without mirroring. The ink side of the printed layout must be faced directly to the photo-resist of the pcb base material.
